THE HOLME HISTORY PROJECT

 
 

The Holme History Project began with The Complete Holme and Holme Mills Census Returns, transcribed from the originals and published in January 2007.  Holme Victorians 1881-1901, Stories about Holme from the Westmorland Gazette, followed in October 2007, and the project to produce a complete series of of books on the same basis had begun.  The project is ongoing and is spawning other productions, including Holme Voices Vol. 1, a 6 CD set of interviews with 14 current and past residents of Holme.

All publications are available for purchase in the store.

 

Holme is a village in South Cumbria, UK, midway between Kendal and Lancaster.
